Those of you who have been following my purchase and repair of my '91 GL know
that if I am worry about the radio, the van must be running well and indeed it
is.

Radio is in SAFe mode.  I have checked with previous owner, and he could not get
unlocked after it lost power.  I have tried the unlock steps in the Bentley and
the stuff on the web.  Nothing works.

What are my options.  My Son knows the parts folks at the local VW dealer as he
has to buy parts from then when the dealership he works for gets a VW trade.
