I have Van Cafe silicone coolant hose set installed when rebuilding the
engine... recommended by my mechanic. I don't think it's specific for
Stainless Steel pipe. According to my mechanic (not me) silicone hoses are
less prone to dried out, or become brittle with age and heat, las longer...
I was sold to it but didn't use long enough (only 5K miles since rebuild)
to give a long term opinion.
