Hi Erin,
Can you tell us a bit more about what happened and when the door fell off?
That might help us figure out how to help.
OK, It might entertain us as well!
Last summer at West River Westies a bay window camped not far from me. I’m used to hearing sliding doors. I heard a unusual sound when the bus door opened.
Turned out the person slid open the slider than picked it up and set it aside. At the end of the weekend he mounted it, slid it on, lashed it and drove away.
It made for a funny image for me.
I’ve also heard about a VW bus friend who lost his slider and it went tumbling end over end down the road behind him.
All things considered you will have a reasonable repair ahead!
Man, seeing that door tumble would be a heart breaker.

It’s only held on by the one metal clamp on the bottom door handle side now. My mechanic is closed but he said I could still buy parts from them this week if I need. I’d like to fix this on my own anyway. So I’m going to do some research. Does anyone have any suggestions?
