Go with the cheap and easy replacement, $10 and less than 1 hour. I did mine about 5 years ago, and it is holding up well. No hot feet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35MkLMMQrhc Jack R. 84 Westy -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Kevin P Gilleran Sent: Monday, June 29, 2020 2:21 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: front heater valve troubles? 1991 vanagon westy Hi all, Summer heat combined with front heater valve not shutting off is causing the blues here in CA. Two questions: 1) Is there a quick and easy way to install a shutoff for the summer time? 2) Long term - what is the best way to remove and replace the heater valve with one that works? And should I do any other maintenance at the same time? Thanks. Kevin -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com
