Hi Douglas,

        I am surprised this broke.  Mine turns so easily I wonder if it does anything at all.  And, frankly, I’m not sure how often the average person uses it in a year but I can tell you that I set mine to as cold as possible and never touch it again.  If you actually have to turn yours down you have the best running unit I’ve ever heard about on this list! 

If you have to have a problem with the unit you sure picked the correct one!
