Hi Jeff, For many of the times I used it I didn’t put a bolt in because as you said, once the slider was shut it couldn’t move. But, if the slider opened in a accident I felt better having some bolts in place. Also, a person could accidentally open that slider with a pull on the handle, child for example. So lock it as well! eRic > On Aug 22, 2020, at 2:02 PM, Jeff Palmer <w.jeff.palmer@icloud.com> wrote: > > Honestly there is no play in my bench so I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t need bolts at all? The bolts that hold on the rail covers seem a bit short and don’t match up for me. Still I was able to get a couple to go in and keep the seat from sliding left to right. Forward and back is secured by the rails. >> With the arm rest off the slider just fit with enough room to wiggle in a securing bolt. >> >> Look forward to learning more from your post and the replies. >> >> Eric Caron >> 85 GL currently with engine and transmission out and front end coming together. >> >> >> >> >> >>> On Aug 22, 2020, at 1:11 PM, Jeff Palmer <w.jeff.palmer@ICLOUD.COM> wrote: >>> >>> Taking two extra kids to the cottage.
