Hello to the List,

I have a weak 1.6 engine now that I would like to change to a 110-150 HP 1.9 that can cruise 70-80 mph easily and won’t get afraid of hills.

My question is; which type of engine is the one that fits well without much trouble? I noticed, that there are different code letters.  And what extra parts to obtain for the exchange?  

I am in Europe now, but the knowledge is in the Vanagon List and I hope, there are members who know specifically the answer.  That would be an great help.  

Anyone can chip in?
