thanks Mark, that makes sense... I went on the internet and read some more (e.g. Tires 101). Adding 5 or 6 psi won't change the diameter. Some manufacturers recommend lower pressure in the Front than in the Rear for their 4WD vehicles e.g. Toyota Tacoma 4WD --> 26 Front / 29 Rear. - The difference of PSI for Front and Rear is meant for stability. https://www.souzastireservice.com/Tires-101/Air-Pressure so I answered my own question :-) On Mon, Feb 1, 2021 at 9:39 AM Mark McCulley <markmcculley@gmail.com> wrote: > The circumference of the tire isn't going to change appreciably with > pressure, you will still get the same number of revs/mile as the rear tires > so no stress on the VC. > > -Mark > > On Mon, Feb 1, 2021 at 8:42 AM OlRivrRat <OlRivrRat@comcast.net> wrote: > > > My understanding > Having Lower pressure in FRONT tires on a > Syncro > > > > might cause undesirable Stresses on Your Viscous Coupler ~ > > > > ORR ~ DeanB > > > > On 30 Jan , 2021, at 10:50 AM, Dan N wrote: > > > > > thanks Dennis, > > > > > > I try to figure I am right or wrong after talking to that guy... this > is > > > what I have now > > > > > > *Syncro tintop with General Grabber LT 27x8.5R14 ---> Front 42 psi, > Rear > > 46 > > > psi* > > > > > > *Syncro Doka16 with Cooper LT 225/75R16 ---> Front 44 psi, Rear 48 > psi* > > > > > > I am not sure if I should leave it as is or have the same pressure on 4 > > > tires > > > on the Doka, after leaving the tire shop for new tires, they put 48psi > > all > > > around. > > > > > > thanks again > > > > > > dan > > >
