Why not just use the original style, aluminium drain plug gasket? A few cents. Plastic isn't going to be a long-term 'reusable' option in my opinion. GW isn't always the bee's knees... The VW-spec'd alu washers were all I ever used in almost 30 years of servicing Vanagons. Useful for any other vehicles with aluminum pans and 14mm plugs.
