Stuart, last question, Can you describe the “outside seal”. Mine had nothing between the plate and glass. Maybe some hardened adhesive. I’m looking forward to assembly and a sturdy lock. I have the lock tight in my supplies so good with that. eRic > On Jun 9, 2021, at 1:50 AM, <stuartmacm@gmail.com> <stuartmacm@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi Eric, I don't see any packing on that page, just the fuzzy strip for the sliding window channel. The kit includes the outside plate and seal along with the inner rubber seal. A piece of innertube should work fine. Just use a little blue (light hold) Loctite on the two screws when you reassemble it to the glass. Then it will stay tight. > > Stuart > > -----Original Message----- > From: Eric Caron <ericcaron96@comcast.net> > Sent: Tuesday, June 8, 2021 7:38 PM > To: Stuart MacMillan <stuartmacm@gmail.com> > Cc: Alistair Bell <albell@SHAW.CA>; Vanagon List <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Subject: Re: Slider window catch info > > This is very helpful. > > I think all I need is the gasket and I plan to try to make that out of an old inner tube. Nice to know I can order it though if needed.
