I clicked on the power station (I'm glad they are not calling it a
generator here), $700. Oops, later in the write up they call it a
generator, it's a small 55ah (27ah useable) lead-acid battery in a box
with an inverter, outlets, a plug in the wall charger and a small
solar controller so you could use a solar panel.

IMO you can do far better for the money if you DIY. Walmart sells an
EverStart Lead Acid Marine & RV Deep Cycle Battery, Group Size 27DC
with 109 ah for less that $90 (54ah useable). They also sell plastic
boxes to keep the battery in & it's easy to add what outlets you need.

If you need 120vac you can get an inverter, the one with the kit is
modified sine wave. Modified sine wave was not clean enough to power
my table top ice maker, the machine vibrated! I could see it move! The
idea of the solar panel powering the ice maker was a good one... I
just needed a pure sine wave inverter.

A guy did put a group 27 under with drivers seat of his Vanagon, with
some mods. https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=654390 .
Having the it all in the VW has (to me) always been the cleanest.

Too much? I feel the urge to talk when I see a battery with an
inverter in a box sold as a generator and for a goodly sum too!
