Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on the Dometic vs Truckfridge (noise/vibration, lifetime, fitment, and power consumption)? My van came with a truckfridge, which after what I'd estimate as about 2 years of continuous use over 7 years total, needs replacement. It can't hold 40F anymore when the ambient is 90F or above. I called Truckfridge, and they said 4-7 year lifetime is normal, that for compressor wearout, it's not worth repairing, and when new, it should be able to hold 40F up to 110F ambient. I really don't like the idea of adding "replace fridge" to the list of 50,000 mile service items. Is the dometic any better? Thanks, Alex (Still dreaming of a marine cold-plate style system, so I could run it while driving or out of the van, and never have to listen to a compressor...)
