Subject:Rear driver's wheels well rust treatment and updates
From:Eric Caron

Hi folks,

I have some seam rust just starting on the rear wheel well seams. I removed the rear cabinets and can access the rear section.

No holes but some surface rust on the inside and paint on the outside flaking and rust starting to show.

So, what are some options for slowing this down?

While in this area I will also add sound deadening material. The old fiber glass was intact and dry.

What are the seam rust treatment options people might do?

Also how would you approach the sound deadening and insolation?
All ideas for products and steps appreciated.

I have Fat Matt here in a roll and Similar fiber glass insolation.

I have fluid film and som rust conversion primers.

But, I’d love some tips from those that have done this work.
