Very cool about your Vanagon....I too am getting ready for full front suspension work and also brakes.  I need to have this baby sweet for the next 20 years.  I am 68, so that will take me to 88.  Fairly recent Subie 2.2 motor upgrade and re-built tranny should take me there.  Hoping.

On the van front - I drove my Syncro  Westy over to Vancouver Island -
(Duncan) and dropped it off with Vivid Vans at the end of January to
complete its overhaul…mostly body, paint, suspension and brake work /
upgrades - with a few extras as well such as clutch and fuel vent lines.
Anyway turning from white to green in regards to its new colour.  Probably
won’t see it until May / June.
