Hi Eric.Yes! By all means, pull it out. Most others will not notice the difference, and you won't either, unless you run your hand over it any time you get in :o)). Dave B.the Boston one P.S. Let me know it you get this. It seems like I am having trouble getting my posts in again. -----Original Message----- From: Eric Caron <ericcaron96@COMCAST.NET> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wed, Mar 30, 2022 9:05 am Subject: [VANAGON] Window locking strip trim Hi Vanagon folks, Can the locking strip around the windshield be removed without affecting the integrity of the window seal or safety. Mine is so darn ugly and tired I’d just like to remove it. I’d prefer not to replace it just make it go away. Any experience or info on this? If I wait long enough it may just go on it’s own. I think the gap where it comes together has doubled in size in 8 years. Eric Caron 85 GL Auto
