So, this is fixed and I learned another of those lessons I’ve learned before but forgot – Don’t think about it, just go clean stuff!

Thought I was dealing with an electrical issue, that was all fine.  The mechanism that slides horizontally was sticking just a little, so that it did not move the full travel required, by maybe 2 mm.  Cleaned it up, got dry lube on it, now works as intended.

Front and slider operate normally, hatch does not.

What it does –
With lock in horizonal key position, it remains Unlocked, while the other locks operate.
With lock in vertical key position, it operates with the power locks but in opposition – lock the doors, hatch unlocks – unlock the doors, hatch locks.
