hi Jeff, Here's a story by coincidence. Today a friend came over to help with the yard work and stayed for lunch. When he left in the afternoon his truck didn't start. The starter made a "taratatat, taratatat, taratatat" noise, crank weakly and the engine doesn't fire. I removed the battery connectors, cleaned the posts and connectors and the engine fired right up. So I'd advise you to do the same - clean the posts and connectors - because oxidation between the posts and connectors weaken the voltage going to the starter. good luck, On Sun, May 8, 2022 at 3:22 PM Dan N <dn92610@gmail.com> wrote: > Do you have a spare ignition switch? > If you do remove the black connector and plug it in and use a flat screw > driver to turn the spare one. > Do not drive because the steering is locked. > > On Sun, May 8, 2022 at 3:15 PM Jeff Palmer <w.jeff.palmer@icloud.com> > wrote: > >> I’ve had it since 93 so pretty sure nothing was added.
