Hi folks,

The lovely ready to go Axle for my Manual transmission needing a new boot has arrived.

It came packed ahead with grease and looking lovely.

But, a couple blind guy questions.

Is the axle painted or just metal?   If not painted I’m tempted to try to cover it with something. 
Also, two mesh bag like things are in the box.  What are they and what are they used for? 
Are they some kind of protection for the boots?  How are they used and installed?

And, am I correct in assuming some extra Greece should go on the transmission and hub side?

Thanks for tips.  I hope to install early next week as I’m traveling this weekend.
