We bought our ‘87 Westy in ‘06 for occasional camping and as our fourth vehicle after the sedan, minivan and motorcycle. We no longer have a motorcycle or minivan so it’s utility has increased. I even put a hitch on it but it’s still not doing any more miles than in previous years and we’re not doing as much camping. It has suffered from exposure and some benign neglect over the years but I’ve also made some sane mods, so that’s probably a wash. Whoever gets it next won’t get a showpiece but will get a decent driver and they can do what they want with it. It's not meant to be a "Garage Queen" or a collector's vehicle. Of course for some reasons such as this... the owner purchases it, using it once or twice and due to health problems (or any other reason) he/she puts it in storage. Later on the van becomes a "a pristine van", mint and original condition. >> I might be wrong but I don't think any of us on this forum will purchase such a "pristine van" and put it in storage again. >> >>> On Wed, Jul 27, 2022 at 8:00 AM Rob <vwrobb@gmail.com> wrote: >>> >>> I like driving my van, it's my daily driver not an investment. >>> >>> Rob >>> vwrobb@gmail.com >>> >>> On Wed, Jul 27, 2022 at 6:02 AM Eric Caron <ericcaron96@comcast.net> wrote: >>>> >>>> >>>> >>>> I believe the vans love to be driven, and though it is fun to look at those in museums I plan to run mine all I can. >>>> >>>>>
