Hi folks,

        My 85 2.3 seems to be spraying a very fine bit of oil.  I noticed it when washing the van.

I found it on the rear hitch, mustache bar and the step that I have in the rear hitch.  Some perhaps on under side of motor.

This is a fine layer but noticeable.

With a friend I had him look at the area and then went for a ride. 

When we came back he checked to see where he might find oil.  It looked to him to be the dip stick seal to motor. 

I’ve never changed this before.  

Can anyone talk me through the steps and also comment on if this seems like a source of the oil mist at the rear of engine  toward bumper.
