I actually use bridging ladder things on trips. Sometimes to help get over washed out parts of logging roads, but to be honest I end up using mostly as levelling ramps.

Today at end of day I made a trial ladder , shorter than I wanted due to lack of scrap material , but at least I learned how to make .
