Interesting description.  I have a friend with one that sounds like that except for the part about the center section being raised up even more.  I wonder what that is about. 

Not him though, his is in winter storage.  

        This friend has an interior that is incredibly modified to meet the needs of his wife that uses a wheelchair much of the time. His skills and the vanagon flexibility make it the perfect van to make travel and visiting folks possible and enjoyable.  If any vehicle has a warm spirit it is a vanagon.
