Since we're on a Pirelli t(h)read, let me put in my 2 cents' worth. I recently put Pirelli P300's on my van (90 GL), and nary a problem. They're not reinforced, but come with a stiffer belt material than ordinary tires so that they behave like reinforced ones. Or so the tire guy said.
