Downstairs: Head rear.  Knock head on shelf nearly every night.
Upstairs:   Head forward.  Shove pillow off bed onto floor nearly every 
            night.  Prefer to sleep downstairs.  

(The '76 westy pop-top has the hinges at the rear).
