If your fuel pump relay is getting flakey, then there is a good possibility
that the main relay isn't far behind for the same behavior.  ---- OOOps
although this advice applies to FI VW engines as well (also a Bosch based
system very similar to that used by BMW)  a thousand pardons for the
unintended posting to this list.
