$200+ is in the ballpark for a water pump. I recommend spending a bit more and getting a German-made pump instead of the cheaper ones. Should last longer. Replacement pump prices can vary from $75 to $175. ---------- >From: Dan Resler[SMTP:resler@liberty.mas.vcu.edu] Sent: Thursday, July 11, 1996 6:21 AM ========================================================================= Date: Sender: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@vanagon.com> From: Subject: Vanagon H2O pump? Was in traffic yesterday in my '87 Westy when my alternator/O2 lights went on, followed quickly by the temp rising. D*mn, lost a belt. Popped the cover, sure enough there were belts loose everywhere ... but none broken! Odd. Then I noticed no pulley on the H2O pump! Found it lying in the engine compartment.
