People have so often been down on texas, etc., in terms of cool band tours, gatherings,
etc.  I'm so glad that you said this fact.  There are MANY things about the southwest 
that are so much nicer, more liberal, and more possible to live with than the east
coast, the "south" or even the pacific coast.
