changed to the cheap Castrol syntec blend 2 changes (5K now) ago. Cold start lifter noise ceased first day. Oil consumption dropped from 1+ qt between 3000 mi changes to 3/4 qt. that's my story and i'm sticking to it. dwight 85GL
