Probably the control unit. You can keep screwing around with it or do what I did. Put a red led on the low pressure switch. This led MUST go off when the car is running. Put a green led on the high pressure switch. This led MUST BE ON above idle. In fact, on my '88 with 95k miles it's "mostly on" at idle. Just a barely noticible flicker. I trust what I can see far more than than that stupid dynamic oil pressure monitor circuit. >From vanagon@lenti.med.umn.edu Sat Mar 22 02:30:59 1997 >Date: Fri, 21 Mar 1997 20:36:18 -0600 >From: Brian Ratliff <Bratliff@hemisphere.neocomm.net> >To: Multiple recipients of list <vanagon@lenti.med.umn.edu> >Subject: oil light help??? > >HELP again..... > >My oil light is not working on 86 vanagon....I have check the sending >unit...ok....took apart the dash and changed the bulb attached to that >strange circuit board with known working bulb???
