Carefully pull out the offending trim pieces and stick 'em in some
boiling water for a few minutes.  They become nice and supple and
actually a little longer than they were.  I did this years ago in a 1970
Westfalia and recently in a 1990.  I guess plastic technology is a
little stagnant.
