I recommend getting a Bosch remanufactured ECU.  I bought and exchanged 4 brand new  bad ones from 2 different VW Dealers. At about $550 for one from Bosch, I would guess you are better off than $460 from python, but I remember hearing from a guy on the list a couple of months ago that planed on rebuilding these things.  Maybe he will be more reasonable.  I wish I had a schematic for the digi-jet ECU.  I still have my bad one for future rebuild.
