This can't be true. On a dealers lot there is a Turbo Diesel Syncro
for sale, for several month now. If the starter arrangement is same
for 2WD and 4WD Diesels, the starter should meet the space. I may
have a look. Did you lower the 4 in-line in same way VW did with the
Boxers?
