FWIW, if you want Jailbars, the only piece that is "Vanagon Only" is the
Middle Bracket, that is all you'll really have to buy from VW.
the Jailbar tubes can be subsituted w/ regular Aluminum tubing, usually found
at your local plumbing/lighting supply or Home center. just cut to fit (BTDT)
And the end caps, are EXACTLY the same as was used on the '51-'67 deluxe
Microbuses (and '68 up too) and used ones can be had usually pretty cheaply
at VW swap meets.

so, for a little more than 50, you can have a set.
