Well from my perspective, a newsgroup format would make it impossible for me to participate because I don't have access to a news server. Plus, we don't get all of that junk mail that the newsgroups are plagued with.

Subject: General Vanagon List Question

I've been on the list off and on for several years and have never seen
this topic discussed and that is: Wouldn't this list work much better
as a newsgroup? Is there a reason why this hasn't been approached and
if it has, what were the results of that venture?

Thanks,
