I have a question concerning the master cylinder for the cluch in my 82 Westy. Do I need to remove the rod that accuates the piston or can you just swap the cylinders out? When I took the one off or my parts Vanagon, it (master cylinder) fell out and left the rod attached to the pedal. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for any help.
