 I'm having a hard time imagining what could have let go.  Front diff is
 held to undersides by 3 BIG bolts, in rubber mounts, and has to be
 jacked up and slid forward to come out, which the driveshaft would've
 prevented anyhow.  Rear has a 4 bolt mount on trans, other end is to
 engine???  If you have all the servicing records etc, and you know your
 dealer well, I'd go talk with them. There's a liability factor somewhere
 in there, either a bad local mechanic or faulty factory installation or
