Has anyone been to Saline Valley recently?  I'm thinking of going next
wednesday or thursday for a few days of a much needed respite.  I was
wondering how the nothern road in is.  i've only ever been in through
the southern route ... i want to take the northen route this time since
i will be coming from the north.  is the northen route 55 miles of tight
washboard just like the southern route?  any harrowing cliffs like the
southern route?  any info appreciated.  don't worry...i will keep the
oath of secrecy....
