After cleaning any parts with kerosene or commercial degreasers, I have always done a "final cleaning" with brake parts cleaner or denatured alcohol. Kerosene and degreasers seem to leave a residue that may (or may not?) continue to break down new CV grease. Given the time and slime of a repack and reboot job, I'd take no chances! I have now officially shed my "lurker" status!! I've been checking out the achive's for about a year and now subscribe. This is a great thing we are doing. Thanks to all Andrew '87 Syncro 167000K
