well, basically, it's because "chokes" went out with carburetors. fuel
injection doesn't have a "choke" ... a themo-time switch, or maybe just
the coolant-temp-sensor-extra-gas-squirting-algorithim in the Digi-Jet/Fant
computer, but no "choke".

so i guess "choking" isn't good for fuel economy. and that's why they were
fired. :)
