My '93 EV MV started piston slapping at 96,000 miles. Haven't discussed
it with VW mainly because the nearest dealer is 120 miles away. Like you
I am wondering what the long term effects are also. I'm wanting to get
140,000 miles out of this thing. The "slapping" stops 1-2 miles down the
road.
