Hi Volks,

I need your advise again.  The idiot lights for the alt and oxy are suddenly
staying on.  That is, they are on dimly at idle after warm up, are
brightly on when driving.  The alternator has been"squeaky" for a
while, now is profoundly silent.  After getting off the freeway, the
idle goes up and down.  This is a new symptom.

In your vast accumulated experince, does this mean 1)bad alternator,
2)regulator 3)something else altogether?

Please reply to me direct, as I cannot check the list today.
