After a 3-week absence I was surprised to find I am back on the list. Oh well, it saves me the trouble of resubscribing. On my latest trip out to sea I made the aquaintance of a gentleman from Iceland. He told me that a car ferry runs from June through September to Denmark, biweekly. Now if I recall correctly there has been some interest in getting vans overseas. An Icelandic based shipping company, EIMSKIP, operates container vessels from points along the eastern seaboard of the U.S. and Canada to Iceland and Europe. The shortest possible container trip would depart from Argentia, Newfoundland and take about 3 days to get to Iceland. From Halifax, N.S. ~4 days and Boston ~5. Icelandair does direct flights from Halifax to Iceland. If you would like more Information I'd be glad to help. Phil Menchions '89 Westy
