Hmmm? The data I have, a 1980 brochure states that the standard non-L Vanagons come with just a solid paint color, not the two tone paint of the L models. Vanagon colors: Medium Blue Assuan Brown Ivory Vanagon L colors: Ivory over Bright Orange Guinea Blue (light blue) over Cornat Blue (medium blue) Samos Beige (peach-like) over Assuan Brown (light brown) Ivory over Bamboo Yellow Perhaps the "L" fell off? Were the bumpers chrome or black? Maybe somebody got the van repainted? What colors were it? (gud gramer huh?) Regards, Jim Davis
