Howdy,

If you've received this letter, it means that you're signed onto the
'official' Vanagon mailing list. After two months down due to a system
board failure, Gerry (the server) is back up and seems to be running
well.

In order to avoid incredible amounts of trouble and confusion, Gerry is
returning with the member roster having the same settings as when Gerry
went away at the end of December. If you get this letter, it means that
you're on the mailing list. (If you get this letter in a digest, it means
you're subscribed in digest mode.)

If you don't want to be part of the vanagon mailing list, send email to
'listserv@vanagon.com' with the following body:
     UNSUBSCRIBE VANAGON

If you're curious about your subscription options (i.e., digest vs.
continuous mail), send email to 'listserv@vanagon.com' with the following
body:
     QUERY VANAGON

Remember that the official address for list-destined email is
'vanagon@vanagon.com'.

If you're still having problems, please feel free to send me email. Put
the subject words 'LIST PROBLEMS' and I'll place a high priority on
solving your problems.

As soon as things seem to be running smoothly for a week or so, I'll work
on getting the archives up and operational.
