Another thing I might add is that Derek's fiche may be even a NEWER parts film than the one I took some of my info off of, thus negating the ECU speculative explanation I offered in my previous post. A lot of times VW and Bosch are not very forthcoming as to why not to interchange, they just say DON'T (and we all know VW just loves to duplicate indentical pieces with different part numbers - drives me mad sometimes). But then again, people like Derek, Dennis and even once in awhile myself HAVE to know those answers to those so-called niggling trivial WHY questions. Derek, it sounds like you spend an awful lot of time reading your parts film(s), even moreso than I do (and I do all day long). ;-) Jim Thompson 84 Westy 2.1 * 62 Beetle * 90 Fox Wagon Check out our latest cool stuff at: http://www.oldvolkshome.com ------------------------------------------- Check out the Odd, Weird, One of a Kind Items For Sale On the "OddBall Page" http://www.oldvolkshome.com/oddball.html ------------------------------------------- Our Website is totally redesigned for ease of your use.
