Nope just the normal operation of the motor.  Also when your water pump goes
bad it will make a constant whirring noise that increases with rpms and soon
after the little tell tale hole under the pump will start to drip.  So sounds
like nothing to worry about except maybe a slightly loose belt.  Have fun and
I hope you get alot more miles on your van before you run into any "woes".
