It probably isn't a bad fix as long as the heads aren't cracked.  But
even then, The only reason I knew they were cracked is because I took of
the heads and could see that they were cracked.

I wonder how many heads are out there that are cracked and the Van still
runs great.  I wonder how long they will run cracked and if it even
makes any difference.

The JB Weld isn't as conductive either which might slow down the
electrolysis taking place.
