For all the drooling American Bus Drivers:
  A salesman-type fellow at one of the local dealerships up here on Long
Island claimed that VW was test-driving a Syncro EV out in Colorado this
winter for possible sale in the USA in 98-99.  Fact or fiction, I know not.
 Can anyone confirm or deny?  This could answer the "replacement for the
Vanagon" thread for many of us.
