I have a 93 T4 (eurovan for usa folks) and also own a 94 Audi S4 (2.2 litre, 5
cyl, 20 valve, 60C intercooled turbo, 217 hp, 300+ Ft-lbs Quattro-MONSTER).
Although I am a bit unclear about some of the development history, I believe a
5000CS Turbo Quattro, and 200 Quattro were similarly equipped.

The Question:

IF (note big if) a complete engine were available, or a head (would the crank
pulley on a T4 drive a 20 valve head with the right belt?) could such a
contraption be forced under a 95 or earlier bonnet?  Has ANYONE been known to
have tried this in North Americal or elsewhere?

The conversion is of interest to me...especially since the soon to be released
T4's in the States don't seem to have what I want.....TDI-Synchro Executive
(long wheel base, Leather, dual air)...As currently being assembled and
offered in Taiwan.
