Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is okay to use an 84 starter from an automatic in
an 84 with a manual tranny?  With T1's I have used the autostick
self-supporting starter in 4-speeds with good results.  It looks like I
can do the same with Vanagons, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has.
This question does not apply to Syncros (gas tank clearance problems).
